"Doncarb Graphite" completed reconstruction of the calcining furnace
Chelyabinsk, 04 September. The investment project in the value of 27 mln. rubles for reconstruction of the calcining furnace with a capacity of 3,500 tons per annum at “Doncarb Graphite” (DCG) site, located in Chelyabinsk.
Currently the furnace has passed tests; its commercial production has begun. New equipment will provide the growing need in calcined pitch coke, which is one of main raw types for structural graphite grades, produced by DCG.
Sergey Sotnikov, the managing director of “Doncarb Graphite” LLC, noted: “We observe pickup in orders for our products over the last years. Consequently, production volume s of structural graphite are also increased. Thus, we can not only use capacities in full, but also commission preserved production facilities and plan the scale technical re-equipping”.
Moreover, in 2018, it is planned to perform current repair of two graphitation furnaces and a repair program for industrial sites at “Doncarb Graphite” site, located in Chelyabinsk.
