The EL 6 Novosibirsk industrial site has gone through a re-certification audit by Swiss SGS (Société Générale de Surveillance, French for ‘General Society of Surveillance’) and has got certificates of its management system’s compliance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 for the period from 2022 until 2025, to be annually confirmed through surveillance audits.

Unlike routine audits, it was a high-profile procedure in that the auditors needed to analyze the evolution of the management system over the past three years.

The best SGS auditors noted that EL 6 Novosibirsk had a mature and effective management system, which was confirmed by its excellent products and compliance with EQSs and OSH laws. However, the branch’s management system may be further enhanced through measures aimed at improving employee accountability and skills, introducing lean production tools, upgrading equipment, and developing win-win relations with suppliers and consumers.

The re-certification audits are carried out once in three years. Although quite standard for the branch, the procedure was unusual because the company is going through reorganization. The fourth re-certification was successful, like the three previous ones.

The management system involves regular internal audits, in-process inspections and three-stage monitoring of OSH compliance, with outcomes analyzed annually and follow-up actions to rectify or improve the processes.
